The "Rosetta Reitz's Musical Archive of Care" Bass Connections team presents a conversation between two acclaimed musician-creator-researchers, Tift Merritt and Anthony Kelley. The conversation will highlight Tift Merritt’s engagement with the Rosetta Reitz papers, housed in the Sallie Bingham Center in Duke’s David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library. As musicians and collaborators, Merritt and Kelley will explore themes of artistic empathy and archival research as creative process.

A reception will follow the conversation.

Hosted by the Forum for Scholars and Publics (Forum @ FHI), with gratitude for the support of Bass Connections, the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture, the Department of Music, the Social Science Research Institute, and Duke Arts.
