Curating Basquiat
A Conversation with Chaédria LaBouvier
Join us for a public talk with Chaédria LaBouvier, curator of the celebrated exhibit, “Basquiat’s Defacement: The Untold Story,” at the Guggenheim, which showcased artworks by Basquiat and others created in response to the police killing of the young artist Michael Stewart. LaBouvier will explore the curation process, Basquiat’s significance, and broader questions in the art world today. Ayanna Legros will be serving as organizer and moderator of the discussion.
Free and open to the public. Light lunch served.
