In this free lunchtime talk at The Pinhook in downtown Durham, trailblazing pianist, composer, bandleader, and 2010 MacArthur fellow Jason Moran sits down with Durham-based spoken word artist Dasan Ahanu for an intimate conversation covering Moran’s career and current projects. Jason Moran will be performing with his trio, The Bandwagon, at Durham Fruit & Produce on the evening of Thursday, April 18. On Friday, April 19, Moran will bring Fats Waller Dance Party — his homage to the legendary Harlem jazz pianist — to Durham Fruit & Produce for an immersive evening of dance, song, and humor.
