Jenny Lion
Jenny Lion employs film and video in cinematic, participatory, tactical, and installation contexts. Her moving-image and curatorial work has screened internationally, and her book on Canadian artists’ video was published by the Walker Art Center and the University of Minnesota Press. Her current body of work explores landscape, militarism, and sustained observation at places of historical resonance including settler, indigenous, industrial, and nuclear test sites in the U.S. West.She has been a resident at the Center for Land-Use Interpretation, a 2021 Creative Capital Awardee, current Wexner Center Film/Video Studio Residency recipient, 2023 McKnight Media Arts Fellow, and 2022 Guggenheim Fellow.
