Amy Sodaro
Amy Sodaro teaches Sociology at the Borough of Manhattan Community College/City University of New York. Her research focuses on how societies remember and come to terms with past violence in memorial museums. Her book Exhibiting Atrocity: Memorial Museums and the Politics of Past Violence is a comparative study of memorial museums around the world that traces the emergence of this particular form of commemoration. Her latest book looks at new museums focused on slavery and its legacies of racial injustice in the US.
