For over a decade, Amber Carroll Santibañez has been a steward of art and culture in Durham and the surrounding community. As a visual arts educator with fourteen years of classroom experience, Amber strives to empower her students by fostering space for holistic exploration and self-affirming educational experiences. As a practitioner in the community arts arena, Amber takes pride in her ability to facilitate opportunities for humans to share space, connect, and collaborate with intention. Amber is an intuitive storyteller who is deeply moved by the wisdom of the natural world and traditions of reverence found throughout the African diaspora. When she is not creating art, Amber enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
