A Conversation with Alan McBride

Alan McBride discussed his role in the “Troubles” and the uneasy peace that has settled over Northern Ireland. McBride talked about his own journey through the “Troubles,” the optimism that followed the signing of the Good Friday accords and the frustratingly slow progress since then. In this process, dealing with the past and building a shared future have been central parts of his work. McBride also talked about a proposed Bill of Rights, which remains unfinished business. On the evening of February 25, from 5:00 – 6:30 pm, McBride also gave a talk, “Northern Ireland, An Uneasy Peace,” at the FHI Garage.
