John Worsencroft is an assistant professor of history at Louisiana Tech University. He holds a BA and MA in history from the University of Utah, and he received his PhD in American history from Temple University. His book project, “A Family Affair: Military Service in the Postwar Era,” is a history of family policies in the Army and the Marine Corps, and how gender shapes rights, obligations, and citizenship in America. Before pursuing graduate studies, he was a U.S. Marine and fought in Iraq in 2003. He tweets at @JohnWorsencroft.
