Alyssa Granacki
Alyssa Granacki holds a BA from Duke University in History and Italian Studies. She is interested in medieval Italian literature, particularly Dante and Boccaccio, as well as feminist thought and women writers. Her dissertation, entitled “Boccaccio’s Women Philosophers: Defining Philosophy, Debating Gender in the Decameron and Beyond” examines the relationship between women and philosophy in early Italian literature. From 2013-2014, Alyssa served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Southern Italy. She was a James B. Duke fellow from 2014-2018. She is currently a Dissertation Fellow with Duke’s Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and is completing graduate certificates in College Teaching as well as Feminist Theory.
