9th Wonder
9th Wonder (producer, DJ, college lecturer, and activist) was born in Winston-Salem, NC. He gained recognition and critical acclaim producing songs for a wide range of artists, including Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Ludacris, Common, Drake, and David Banner. In 2014, 9th Wonder was chosen to be on the Executive Board for Hip-Hop at the National Museum for African American History and Culture at The Smithsonian Institute and currently serves as the NAACP’s National Ambassador for Hip Hop Relations and Popular Culture. A well-known hip-hop educator, he is currently on the faculty at both North Carolina Central University and Duke University.
