A Conversation with Grant Wahl
Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated magazine joined the Forum for Scholars and Publics for a lunchtime discussion that covered the future of women’s soccer, focusing on the upcoming 2015 Women’s World Cup, roles of big players such as FIFA and Fox Broadcasting, and the relationship between women’s national and league teams, among other topics. Wahl is considered the leading journalist writing about soccer in the U.S. today, and has covered women’s soccer since the 1990s. He spoke about the changing media landscape surrounding the women’s game and answered questions about his work as a sports journalist.
