New Directions in Humanities Doctoral Training

Leonard Cassuto in Conversation with Edward Balleisen

Due to COVID-19, this event has been postponed.

At research universities around the country, faculty and administrators face multiple pressures in sustaining competitive and vibrant PhD programs. How can PhD program leaders maintain disciplinary integrity and traditional measures of excellence, while also remaining attentive to new currents in research and pedagogy, new models of disseminating scholarship, increasingly difficult job academic markets for new PhDs, and the imperative to diversify the academy (and realms beyond)? Free and open to the public. Light lunch served. Co-sponsored by Trinity College and the Forum for Scholars and Publics.
